White throated Kingfisher This shot of the Kingfisher was an unexpected one. We reached Dandeli around 9 in the morning and we had to wait till we could check-in to the resort. We decided to explore nearby place to see if we could get something to eat for breakfast. Just when we started to drive, I spotted this beautiful bird sitting on a tree next to the road. I was very excited and I pulled out my camera immediately and went out of car and took a couple of photos. The bird sat there as if it was waiting for me to take the photos and flew away after a few seconds. The second shot seemed to have come out nice and this is what I have posted above. Felt very lucky to have taken this shot!

Recently wrote this Post , stating my disappointment on the delay of the Lumia Denim update. Few days after writing this, I finally received the Lumia update on my Nokia Lumia 925! I was very happy indeed! Took few minutes to download the update and around 20 to 30 minutes to install the update! It has been a week since I got this update on my phone and the following are the features which I have discovered so far and which i have stated to like very much: Live Folders : The fact that you can group a set of related tiles into one folder and still get live tile updates is just awesome and makes my home screen looks neater! Mobile Connectivity shortcut in the action center Cortana: Cortana has been released in India along with this update as an alpha version. Good usability and she gets most of what I tell! :). Had been to Dandeli in the month of January 2015, it was an amazing experience and I had a great time there. Dandeli is in north Karnataka, around 500 Km from Bengaluru. It is a very good place for nature lovers, bird admirers, photography enthusiasts, people who want to try their hand on water sports and last but not the least people who want to just relax! Things I loved here: A very nice, peaceful town, weather was little hot during the day time but manageable. White water river rafting, was an experience and I enjoyed it to the core. Bird watching and Bird photography, this was my first time try at Bird photography and I loved every bit of it. The journey, we traveled in our car from Bemgaluru and it was a very enjoyable one, which we friends did after a long time!
